Passenger Side Door Lock Wont Work

In some cars a failed door lock actuator may lock but won t unlock or the other way around.

Replacing the fuse will correct the problem. If the driver door lock switch doesn t work try the passenger door lock switch or any other door. Replacing it may require removing the car door panel. The door lock works in only one direction. The driver side window was stuck down and all door locks would not work all the other windows went up and down as they should but still no drivers window or door locks. One of the easiest ways to diagnose the switch is by trying to use other door locks in the car. I already disconnected the driver and passenger side door lock switches and when disconnected the back doors still locked and unlocked by themselves. If they work then you ve narrowed down your problem. If one door doesn t work but others do the problem could be a blown fuse.

Locks work from the switch but not the remote. A fuse is blown. Luckily this is the easiest and cheapest items that can go wrong. The battery died and had to be replaced.
