Only Drivers Door Lock Works

Inserting a key into the drivers door does nothing the lock just spins round like it isn t catching anything.

Only drivers door lock works.

It appears that there are no broken or cracked wires. Turned to lock and all doors locked and horn cherped. This problem occurs when an internal part of the car computer fusebox under the drivers dash burns out. I have to manually press it down which is a pain in the ass.

All other doors lock unlock just fine. The lights and dome light work like they are supose to. Only the driver door has this problem. So the rest of the car locks fine remotely and the drivers door lock stays up.

One by door and one answered by a verified kia mechanic. Tryed the key in the driver side door and turned once and the driver side door unlocked and then turned twice and all doors unlocked. This seems to be a huge issue with w202 s and something that many of you will also deal with. I have discovered that alot of toyota camry s of this generation 2002 2006 have a specific door lock problem that develops.

The alarm is working fine. Check the owner s manual i know the dreaded book of the car and see if there is a process for changing the key fob options and how to perform this change. If the door locks work with the driver door switch then this is probably not an electrical problem and more along the lines of an options setting. There seems to be no lock using the key.

I know it could be the actuator but also some other things have gone wrong i just don t know what those might be or what to test. This results in all the doors locking but only the drivers door unlocking. The other locks worked but the driver s side would not. The lock works when i use the key in the keyhole.

As a side note when all doors are. There is not keyed lock on the passanger side door.
